The Biggs Museum of American Art is a dynamic, accredited, art museum in Dover, Delaware, founded in 1993 by collector Sewell C. Biggs. The Biggs Museum is nationally recognized for its exceptional collections of American decorative arts of Delaware and the Delaware River valley, and for its collections of American art from 1700 to today. The mission of Chapel Street Players is to produce plays for the entertainment, education, and cultural development of the community. To carry this out, activities include: producing plays on an annual schedule for presentation to subscribers and the general public; providing opportunities to participate in various phases of the theater and studying the various aspects of theater; experimenting with new plays and new techniques.

The Delaware Photographic Society was organized as the Delaware Camera Club on January 31st, 1931, making it one of the oldest camera clubs in the country. The Society was formed to encourage and develop interest in photography. The objectives at that time were to get the best authorities to give lectures on photography; to have discussion groups within the membership to share knowledge, and to arrange an exhibition of photography in Wilmington.

Our mission is to engage and educate novice to professional photographers in a collaborative and encouraging environment creating artistic images for display for the enjoyment of the community in our region.

The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre provides programs of entertainment, enrichment and education for audiences of all ages.

Second Street Players is a year-round community theater which produces shows covering practically every genre. Included in our yearly productions, you will find musicals, dramas, comedies, original works, our Children’s Theater and cooperative productions with other cultural groups and schools.

The Chorale provides a vehicle through which local singers can come together to sharpen their musical skills and share a love of choral music. It also provides an opportunity for high school and college singers to perform challenging music, bring well-performed choral music to various venues and expand the number and type of music offerings available to audiences in Southern Delaware.

The Brandywiners strives to produce high quality musical and chorale productions featuring diverse artists who showcase their talents for all to enjoy. The Brandywiners seeks to offer year-round programming that provides unique experiences including Broadway-caliber entertainment while operating with a social-cause focus to support the broader arts community.

The Choir School of Delaware, a “Community Center that Sings,” provides life-changing after-school and summer camp programs for Wilmington children ages 7-17. Programs combine professional-level choral training and performance opportunities with homework help, mentoring, and social services, creating a safe, inspiring environment where young people realize their full potential. 100% of students graduate from high school, and all go on to continue their education, launch a career, or begin military service. The Choir School is available to all, regardless of income. During the school year, an intergenerational choir anchors the after-school program, performing throughout the state in an exciting concert series.

The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware is an inclusive, non-profit community chorus that provides LGBTQ individuals, with their friends and allies, the opportunity to perform high-quality choral music in an affirming environment that serves as a positive force for change. The Wilmington Children’s Chorus name has become synonymous with excellence: excellence in singing, excellence in performance, and excellence in education. A multi-cultural children’s choir, WCC gives youth the opportunity and tools to excel while enriching the community with the unique sound and spirit of children’s voices. WCC involves over 500 singers, ages 1-18, in five different performing ensembles, three Neighborhood Choirs, an early childhood music program, and many summer camps. They regularly collaborate with the region’s top arts organizations and engage in international exchanges with young musicians from Wilmington’s Sister Cities. Since 2002, WCC has provided this high-quality educational program for youth without the burden of tuition or membership fees.
