What is Advocacy?

Advocacy is democracy in action. It is the act of expressing support for a cause, idea or policy that is important to the arts. We engage in advocacy because we want to make the arts an intrinsic part of Delawareans’ daily lives.

We facilitate events and outreach to public officials to keep Delaware organizations and advocates connected to advocacy opportunities at the state and federal levels.

We offer resources for advocates to educate their organizations and increase their impact. We also support public officials who need the facts and stories to make a difference.
